The making of Dresden Castle

Before the first dance,
there was a lot of dust.

Alex and Jason saw a future in a church that had stood vacant for nearly two decades. Then they got to work.

A church worth
rolling up sleeves for.

They’d renovated duplexes before. This time, the project came with soaring ceilings and stained glass.

Jason brought his construction management background. Together, they did most of the renovation themselves, repairing the building while keeping its neo-gothic character.

Today, those same walls hold wedding vows, family celebrations, and evenings that end on the dance floor.

A name from Saxony.

The city of Dresden lent its name. The church’s castle-like architecture made it fit, in a city shaped by Polish, German, and Slavic influences.
